A delightful breakfast dish of pan-fried turnip cake inspired by grandma's recipe. The lo bak goh is crispy and delicious, served with hoisin or sriracha for added flavor.

1: Cook daikon and 1 cup of water on low-medium heat until translucent but not browned (about 10 minutes) and transfer to a large bowl to cool. 2: Add oil to the pan and fry the sausage, mushrooms, and shrimp for about 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and add to the daikon bowl. 3: To the daikon mixture, add soaking liquid, rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and salt, and stir until the liquid is absorbed by the rice flour. 4: Pour into a greased loaf pan and steam for 50 minutes. Set on the counter to cool for 15 minutes, cover, then transfer to the fridge overnight to solidify further. 5: The next morning, cube or slice into 1/2 inch cubes or slices and pan fry. Serve with hoisin and/or sriracha.
